Ingredients

  • 500 g strong bread flour
  • 200 g warm milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 80 g soft butter
  • 70 g sugar
  • 25 g fresh yeast
  • 8 g salt
  • 1 egg for brushing

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the milk, yeast and sugar in the mixing bowl and set 2 min/37°C/speed 2.
  2. Add the eggs, flour, butter and salt and mix 20 sec/speed 6.
  3. Knead 5 min/closed bowl/dough mode.
  4. Let the dough rise in a covered bowl until doubled in volume, about 70 min.
  5. Divide the dough into ten portions and shape elongated or round buns.
  6. Place the buns on a tray with baking paper.
  7. Let them rise covered another 45 min.
  8. Brush with beaten egg.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 16 min until golden.
  10. Let cool on a rack.

Tips

  • You can make a cut and place a strip of butter before baking.
  • Sprinkle sugar on top for a more indulgent finish.
