Indian naan bread
Indian flatbread cooked in a pan with butter and garlic.

Ingredients
- 400 g wheat flour
- 120 g plain yoghurt
- 100 g warm water
- 10 g fresh yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 7 g salt
- 30 g melted butter
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Put the water, yeast and sugar in the mixing bowl and set 2 min/37°C/speed 2.
- Add the yoghurt, flour and salt and mix 20 sec/speed 6.
- Knead 3 min/closed bowl/dough mode.
- Let the dough rise in a covered bowl until doubled in volume, about 60 min.
- Divide the dough into six portions and stretch each into an oval shape.
- Heat a pan or griddle without oil over high heat.
- Cook each naan about 2 min on each side until they puff up and brown.
- Mix the melted butter with the minced garlic.
- Brush the hot naan with the garlic butter.
- Serve right away.
Tips
- A really hot griddle makes the naan puff up with bubbles.
- You can add chopped coriander to the garlic butter.
