Ingredients
- 500 g pork, in strips
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 garlic cloves
- 4 individual baguette rolls
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 turnip or daikon, julienned
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 cucumber, in strips
- Cilantro leaves
- Mayonnaise and chili sauce
Step-by-step

- Mix the vinegar with 1 tablespoon sugar and a little salt, add the carrot and turnip and let pickle for 30 minutes.
- Put the garlic in the mixing bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 6. Add the pork, fish sauce and the rest of the sugar.
- Cook the pork 12 min/Varoma/reverse/spoon speed until browned and caramelized.
- Split the rolls open and spread with mayonnaise and chili sauce.
- Fill with the pork, drained pickles, cucumber and plenty of cilantro.
- Serve immediately while the bread is crispy.
Tips
- The pickles add freshness and contrast — don't skip them.
- Warm the bread for a few minutes so it's crispy outside.
