Homemade churros with Thermomix dough

Crunchy churros to dunk in hot chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Sunflower oil for frying
  • Sugar for coating

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the water, salt and sugar in the mixing bowl and heat 5 min/100°C/speed 1.
  2. Add all the flour at once and mix 20 sec/speed 4.
  3. Let the dough rest 5 minutes until it warms down.
  4. Pass the dough to a churro maker or piping bag with a star nozzle.
  5. Heat plenty of oil and form the churros cutting with scissors.
  6. Fry until golden, drain on paper and coat in sugar.

Tips

  • The oil should be at 180°C so they do not absorb grease.
  • Serve with thick chocolate for dunking.
