Ingredients
- 600 g beef stew meat, diced
- 400 ml coconut milk
- 3 tablespoons massaman curry paste
- 2 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, in wedges
- 60 g roasted peanuts
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons palm sugar
- 1 tablespoon tamarind paste
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

- Put the massaman paste with the oil in the mixing bowl and sauté 3 min/120°C/speed 1.
- Add half the coconut milk and cook 4 min/100°C/speed 1.
- Add the beef and sear 5 min/Varoma/reverse/spoon speed.
- Add the rest of the coconut milk, the cinnamon, fish sauce, sugar and tamarind.
- Cook 45 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed.
- Add the potatoes, onion and peanuts, and cook 20 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed until the potatoes are tender.
- Remove the cinnamon stick and serve with jasmine rice.
Tips
- This is a sweeter, milder curry, ideal for those starting out with Thai cooking.
- If the sauce is too runny, cook a few minutes more without the measuring cup.
