Green beans with tomato
Green beans sauteed in a tomato and garlic sauce.

Ingredients
- 600 g green beans
- 1 onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 400 g crushed tomato
- 40 g extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 500 g water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Put the water in the mixing bowl and place the chopped green beans in the basket.
- Set 15 min/Varoma/speed 1 until they are tender. Set the beans aside and empty the water.
- Chop the onion and garlic 4 sec/speed 5, add the oil and saute 7 min/Varoma/spoon speed.
- Add the crushed tomato, the sugar, the salt and the pepper.
- Set 12 min/Varoma/reverse/spoon speed.
- Add the reserved beans and mix 3 min/100C/reverse/spoon speed.
- Serve hot.
Tips
- Set aside the beans al dente; they will finish cooking in the sauce.
- A touch of cumin adds a different flair.
- You can add diced cooked potato to make it more complete.
