Green beans sauteed in a tomato and garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 600 g green beans
  • 1 onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 400 g crushed tomato
  • 40 g extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 500 g water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the water in the mixing bowl and place the chopped green beans in the basket.
  2. Set 15 min/Varoma/speed 1 until they are tender. Set the beans aside and empty the water.
  3. Chop the onion and garlic 4 sec/speed 5, add the oil and saute 7 min/Varoma/spoon speed.
  4. Add the crushed tomato, the sugar, the salt and the pepper.
  5. Set 12 min/Varoma/reverse/spoon speed.
  6. Add the reserved beans and mix 3 min/100C/reverse/spoon speed.
  7. Serve hot.

Tips

  • Set aside the beans al dente; they will finish cooking in the sauce.
  • A touch of cumin adds a different flair.
  • You can add diced cooked potato to make it more complete.
