Ingredients
- 250 g macaroni (elbow pasta)
- 700 g water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 50 g butter
- 50 g flour
- 500 g milk
- 250 g grated cheddar cheese
- A pinch of pepper
- A pinch of nutmeg
- 50 g breadcrumbs for topping
Step-by-step

- Put the water and salt in the mixing bowl and set 10 min, 100°C, speed 1.
- Add the macaroni and cook for the time on the package at 100°C, reverse, spoon speed.
- Drain the pasta using the steaming basket and set aside.
- Without washing the mixing bowl, add the butter and melt 2 min, 60°C, speed 2.
- Add the flour and cook 2 min, 100°C, speed 3.
- Add the milk, pepper and nutmeg and set 8 min, 90°C, speed 4.
- Add the cheddar and mix 1 min, speed 3 until melted.
- Mix the sauce with the macaroni, transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and broil in the oven 10 min.
Tips
- Use a mix of cheddar and gouda for extra creaminess.
- Serve freshly broiled so it stays well melted.
