Lean pork cubes stewed in a homemade tomato sauce.

Ingredients

  • 600 g of lean pork in cubes
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 500 g of crushed tomato
  • 100 g of white wine
  • 40 g of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Black pepper to taste

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the onion, the garlic and the bell pepper in the mixing bowl and chop 5 sec/speed 5.
  2. Add the oil and saute 7 min/120°C/spoon speed.
  3. Add the lean pork and saute 5 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed.
  4. Pour in the white wine and let it evaporate 3 min/Varoma/spoon speed without the measuring cup.
  5. Add the tomato, the sugar, the bay leaf, salt and pepper and mix 5 sec/speed 2.
  6. Fit the butterfly and set 25 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed.
  7. Check that the meat is tender and the sauce has reduced.
  8. Remove the bay leaf and adjust the salt.
  9. Serve with french fries or bread to dip.

Tips

  • The sugar corrects the acidity of the tomato and softens the sauce.
  • An ideal stew to prepare in advance and reheat.
