Homemade custard
Creamy custard with biscuit and cinnamon in the traditional style.
Vegetarian
Ingredients
- 1 litre of whole milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 150 g of sugar
- 40 g of cornflour
- 1 cinnamon stick
- the peel of half a lemon
- maria-type biscuits to taste
- ground cinnamon for dusting
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Put the milk, the cinnamon stick and the lemon peel in the mixing bowl and program 8 min/90°C/speed 2.
- Strain the infused milk and set it aside; wash and dry the mixing bowl.
- Put the yolks, the sugar and the cornflour in the mixing bowl and mix 15 sec/speed 4.
- Add the reserved milk and program 8 min/90°C/speed 4 until it thickens.
- Place a biscuit at the bottom of each bowl and spread the custard on top.
- Dust with ground cinnamon and let it cool.
- Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
Tips
- Do not stop cooking before it thickens or it will turn out runny.
- You can burn a little sugar on top for a crunchy touch.
