Homemade custard

Ingredients

  • 1 litre of whole milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 40 g of cornflour
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • the peel of half a lemon
  • maria-type biscuits to taste
  • ground cinnamon for dusting

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the milk, the cinnamon stick and the lemon peel in the mixing bowl and program 8 min/90°C/speed 2.
  2. Strain the infused milk and set it aside; wash and dry the mixing bowl.
  3. Put the yolks, the sugar and the cornflour in the mixing bowl and mix 15 sec/speed 4.
  4. Add the reserved milk and program 8 min/90°C/speed 4 until it thickens.
  5. Place a biscuit at the bottom of each bowl and spread the custard on top.
  6. Dust with ground cinnamon and let it cool.
  7. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

Tips

  • Do not stop cooking before it thickens or it will turn out runny.
  • You can burn a little sugar on top for a crunchy touch.
