Homemade mashed potato

Ingredients

  • 700 g potatoes
  • 200 g milk
  • 50 g butter
  • 30 g extra virgin olive oil
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • 600 g water
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into cubes and put them in the basket.
  2. Put the water in the mixing bowl and insert the basket.
  3. Set 20 min/Varoma/speed 2 until the potatoes are tender.
  4. Remove the basket and empty the water from the mixing bowl.
  5. Add to the mixing bowl the potatoes, the milk, the butter, the oil, the nutmeg and the salt.
  6. Blend 25 sec/speed 4 until you achieve a homogeneous puree.
  7. Adjust salt and serve.

Tips

  • Use floury potatoes for a fluffier puree.
  • If you like it lighter, add a little more hot milk.
  • For a vegan version swap milk and butter for plant-based options.
