Tuna tartare with avocado

Ingredients

  • 400 g very fresh bluefin tuna
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 lime
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Make sure the tuna has been frozen beforehand for food safety.
  2. Cut the tuna into small dice with a knife and keep it very cold.
  3. Put the soy, the sesame oil, the ginger and the lime juice in the mixing bowl.
  4. Mix 10 sec/speed 3 to combine the dressing.
  5. In a bowl, mix the tuna with the dressing and let it rest 5 minutes in the cold.
  6. Cut the avocado into small dice and dress it with a few drops of lime.
  7. Assemble the tartare with the help of a ring: a layer of avocado and another of tuna.
  8. Sprinkle the sesame seeds and the chopped chives on top.
  9. Serve cold with a drizzle of olive oil.

Tips

  • Cut the tuna with a knife, never chop it in the machine.
  • Keep all the ingredients very cold until plating.
  • Use gluten-free soy sauce if you need it.
