Ingredients

  • 400 g ground turkey meat
  • 1 egg
  • 30 g gluten-free rolled oats
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 handful of fresh parsley
  • 400 g crushed tomato
  • 1 onion (80 g)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 700 g water

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the garlic and the parsley in the mixing bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 5.
  2. Add the turkey, the egg, the oats, the salt and the pepper and mix 20 sec/speed 3.
  3. Form meatballs with damp hands and place them in the Varoma tray.
  4. Wash the mixing bowl and put the onion; chop 4 sec/speed 5.
  5. Add the oil and saute 5 min/120°C/speed 1; add the crushed tomato and the water.
  6. Set the Varoma with the meatballs and program 25 min/Varoma/speed 1.
  7. Remove the meatballs and mix them with the tomato sauce before serving.

Tips

  • Nutritional note: turkey is a lean meat very rich in protein.
  • Steaming avoids the fat of frying the meatballs.
  • The oats bind the mixture without the need for breadcrumbs with gluten.
