Three delights fried rice

Chinese stir-fried rice with egg, ham, shrimp and peas.

Ingredients

  • 300 g long-grain rice
  • 900 g water
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g cooked ham in cubes
  • 150 g peeled shrimp
  • 100 g peas
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 50 g sunflower oil
  • 2 spring onions
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the water and salt in the mixing bowl and set 8 min/100C/speed 1.
  2. Place the rice in the basket, insert it in the mixing bowl and set 13 min/100C/speed 4.
  3. Drain the rice, spread it on a tray and let it cool well.
  4. Without washing the mixing bowl, beat the eggs in a separate pan to make a thin omelette and chop it.
  5. Put the oil and the chopped spring onions in the mixing bowl and saute 4 min/Varoma/spoon speed.
  6. Add the ham, the shrimp and the peas and stir-fry 5 min/Varoma/reverse/spoon speed.
  7. Add the cold rice, the chopped egg and the soy sauce.
  8. Stir-fry everything 4 min/Varoma/reverse/spoon speed taking care not to mash it.
  9. Adjust soy and salt and serve very hot.

Tips

  • Cold rice from the day before stays looser when stir-fried.
  • Do not overdo the soy so it does not get too salty.
  • A drizzle of sesame oil at the end adds an authentic aroma.
