Ingredients
- 350 g flour
- 180 ml warm milk
- 7 g dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 300 g char siu pork, chopped
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 scallion, chopped
- 500 ml water for the Varoma

- Put the milk, yeast and sugar in the mixing bowl and set 1 min/37°C/speed 2.
- Add the flour and oil and knead 4 min, lid closed, dough mode. Let rise, covered, for 1 hour.
- Mix the char siu pork with the hoisin sauce and scallion for the filling.
- Divide the dough into portions, fill each one and seal to form the bao on squares of paper.
- Put 500 ml water in the mixing bowl, arrange the bao on the Varoma tray and steam 15 min/Varoma/speed 1.
- Serve the bao warm.
Tips
- Leave space between the bao since they expand while cooking.
- The paper underneath keeps them from sticking to the tray.
