Ingredients
- 600 g of chicken breast in cubes
- 200 g of orange juice
- Zest of 1 orange
- 30 g of soy sauce
- 30 g of sugar
- 20 g of rice vinegar
- 1 garlic clove
- 10 g of fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon of cornstarch
- Cornstarch and oil for coating and frying
- Spring onion and sesame to garnish
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Coat the chicken cubes in cornstarch and fry them in hot oil until golden, then set them aside.
- Put the garlic and the ginger in the mixing bowl and chop 4 sec/speed 7.
- Add the orange juice, the zest, the soy, the sugar and the vinegar and mix 5 sec/speed 3.
- Set 6 min/100°C/speed 2 without the measuring cup so it reduces.
- Dissolve the cornstarch in a tablespoon of water and add it to the mixing bowl.
- Set 3 min/100°C/speed 2 until the sauce thickens and shines.
- Add the fried chicken and mix 30 sec/reverse/spoon speed to coat.
- Serve right away over rice and garnish with spring onion and sesame.
Tips
- Add the chicken at the end so it keeps its crispy texture.
- Balance sweetness and acidity by tasting the sauce before thickening it.
