Ingredients
- 700 g chicken breast, diced
- 500 g cassava, peeled and chopped
- 400 ml coconut milk
- 1 onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tomato
- 1 red bell pepper
- 2 tablespoons palm oil
- 400 ml water
- Salt, pepper and cilantro
Step-by-step

- Put the cassava and water in the mixing bowl: cook 20 min/100°C/speed 1. Blend 30 sec/speed 6 into a purée. Set aside.
- Add the onion, garlic, tomato and bell pepper: chop 5 sec/speed 5. Add the palm oil and sauté 6 min/120°C/speed 1.
- Add the diced chicken and sauté 8 min/Varoma/reverse/spoon speed.
- Add the cassava purée and coconut milk. Cook 18 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed.
- Adjust the salt and pepper, add cilantro and mix 15 sec/reverse/speed 1.
- Serve hot with white rice.
Tips
- The cassava purée gives bobó its characteristic creamy texture.
- You can replace the chicken with shrimp to make bobó de camarão.
