Quinoa bowl with Varoma vegetables
A complete, protein-rich bowl with fluffy quinoa and steamed vegetables.

Ingredients
- 200 g rinsed quinoa
- 500 g water
- 1 zucchini in sticks (150 g)
- 1 carrot in sticks (100 g)
- 100 g broccoli florets
- 1 ripe avocado in slices
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds to garnish
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Put the rinsed quinoa and the water with a pinch of salt in the mixing bowl.
- Place the zucchini, the carrot and the broccoli in the Varoma dish.
- Set the Varoma in position and program 18 min/Varoma/spoon speed.
- Carefully remove the Varoma and set aside the steamed vegetables.
- Check that the quinoa is tender and the water absorbed; if liquid remains, drain with the basket.
- Divide the quinoa into two bowls and spread the vegetables on top.
- Add the avocado slices and dress with oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve warm.
Tips
- Rinse the quinoa well before cooking it to remove the bitterness of the saponins.
- Nutritional note: quinoa provides complete protein with all nine essential amino acids.
- You can add cooked chickpeas to raise the protein content.
