Ingredients

  • 200 g rinsed quinoa
  • 500 g water
  • 1 zucchini in sticks (150 g)
  • 1 carrot in sticks (100 g)
  • 100 g broccoli florets
  • 1 ripe avocado in slices
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds to garnish

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the rinsed quinoa and the water with a pinch of salt in the mixing bowl.
  2. Place the zucchini, the carrot and the broccoli in the Varoma dish.
  3. Set the Varoma in position and program 18 min/Varoma/spoon speed.
  4. Carefully remove the Varoma and set aside the steamed vegetables.
  5. Check that the quinoa is tender and the water absorbed; if liquid remains, drain with the basket.
  6. Divide the quinoa into two bowls and spread the vegetables on top.
  7. Add the avocado slices and dress with oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  8. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve warm.

Tips

  • Rinse the quinoa well before cooking it to remove the bitterness of the saponins.
  • Nutritional note: quinoa provides complete protein with all nine essential amino acids.
  • You can add cooked chickpeas to raise the protein content.
