Marinated tofu and Varoma vegetable bowl
A complete vegan bowl with marinated tofu and steamed vegetables over rice.

Ingredients
- 150 g brown rice
- 450 g water
- 200 g firm tofu, diced
- 2 tablespoons gluten-free soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 100 g broccoli florets
- 1 carrot in sticks
- 100 g red cabbage julienned
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Marinate the tofu with the soy sauce, the sesame oil and the ginger for 15 minutes.
- Put the brown rice and the salted water in the mixing bowl.
- Place the broccoli, the carrot and the cabbage in the Varoma dish and the marinated tofu in the upper tray.
- Set the Varoma and program 25 min/Varoma/spoon speed to cook rice, vegetables and tofu at the same time.
- Carefully remove the Varoma and drain the rice.
- Divide the rice into two bowls and place the tofu and the steamed vegetables on top.
- Drizzle with a little more of the marinade and sprinkle sesame seeds.
- Serve warm.
Tips
- Nutritional note: a 100 percent plant-based bowl with protein from the tofu and fiber from the whole grain.
- Marinating the tofu before steaming gives it much more flavor.
- Use the Varoma to cook everything at once and save time.
