Ingredients

  • 400 g peanuts, shelled and roasted without salt
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon honey or syrup (optional)

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the peanuts in the mixing bowl and blend 30 sec/speed 6.
  2. Scrape down the sides with the spatula.
  3. Blend again 1 min/speed 5-10 until they release their oil.
  4. Add the oil, salt and sweetener if you use it.
  5. Blend 1 more min/speed 8 until you get a fluid cream.
  6. If you want it chunky, set aside a chopped handful and mix 5 sec/speed 3 at the end.
  7. Pack into a clean jar.

Tips

  • Store at room temperature for up to 1 month; stir if the oil separates.
  • Use honey for a vegetarian version or agave syrup for a vegan one.
  • The more you blend, the creamier it will be.
