Ingredients
- 500 g strong bread flour
- 250 g warm milk
- 1 egg
- 50 g soft butter
- 30 g sugar
- 20 g fresh yeast
- 9 g salt
- Sesame for decorating
- 1 egg for brushing
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Put the milk, yeast and sugar in the mixing bowl and set 2 min/37°C/speed 2.
- Add the egg, flour, butter and salt and mix 20 sec/speed 6.
- Knead 4 min/closed bowl/dough mode.
- Let the dough rise in a covered bowl until doubled in volume, about 60 min.
- Divide the dough into eight equal portions and shape each into a ball.
- Place the balls on a tray with baking paper and flatten them slightly.
- Let them rise covered another 40 min.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 18 min until golden.
- Let cool on a rack before opening.
Tips
- Flatten the balls well so the buns turn out flat.
- A little milk in the brushing gives extra shine.
