Light chickpea hummus
Creamy, light hummus with less oil, perfect for spreading.

Ingredients
- 400 g cooked and drained chickpeas
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- 1 clove of garlic
- The juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 60 g cold water
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt to taste
- Paprika to garnish
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Put the garlic in the mixing bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 5.
- Add the chickpeas, the tahini, the lemon juice, the cumin and the salt.
- Blend 30 sec/speed 6 scraping down the walls halfway.
- Add the oil and the cold water little by little.
- Blend 1 min/speed 7 until very creamy.
- Check the texture and add a little more water if you want it smoother.
- Serve with a drizzle of oil and sprinkled paprika.
Tips
- Nutritional note: using water instead of more oil reduces calories without losing creaminess.
- Pair with veggie sticks for a healthy snack.
- Reserving the cooking water from the chickpeas gives a silkier texture.
