Ingredients
- 500 g wheat flour
- 300 g warm water
- 10 g fresh yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 20 g olive oil
Step-by-step

- Put the water, yeast and sugar in the mixing bowl. Mix 2 min/37°C/speed 2.
- Add the flour, salt and oil. Knead 4 min, lid closed, dough mode.
- Let the dough rise, covered, in a bowl until doubled in volume, about 1 hour.
- Divide into 6 portions and roll each one into half-centimeter-thick discs.
- Preheat the oven to 250°C with a baking tray inside.
- Bake the discs on the hot tray 4 to 5 min until they puff up and lightly brown.
Tips
- A very hot oven is key for the pita to form its air pocket.
- Cover the breads with a cloth as they come out so they stay soft.
