Ingredients
- 350 g penne
- 1200 g water
- 400 g crushed tomato
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 dried chilies
- 60 g extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Fresh chopped parsley
- Salt to taste
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Put the water and salt in the mixing bowl and set 10 min/Varoma/speed 1.
- Add the penne through the lid hole and set 11 min/100C/reverse/spoon speed.
- Drain the pasta and set it aside covered.
- Without washing the mixing bowl, put the sliced garlic, the chilies and the oil and saute 4 min/Varoma/spoon speed.
- Add the crushed tomato, the sugar and salt and set 15 min/100C/speed 1 without the measuring cup.
- Lightly blend the sauce 10 sec/speed 4 if you prefer it smoother.
- Add the drained pasta and mix 1 min/reverse/spoon speed.
- Adjust the salt and the spiciness to taste.
- Serve with chopped parsley on top.
Tips
- Arrabbiata means angry because of its spicy character.
- Adjust the chilies according to your spice tolerance.
- This recipe is naturally vegan without adding cheese.
