Homemade marinated olives

Ingredients

  • 400 g green olives
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 60 g extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the garlic in the mixing bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 4.
  2. Add the zest and the juice of the lemon, the oregano, the thyme and the paprika.
  3. Add the oil, the bay leaf and the cumin and mix 5 sec/speed 3.
  4. Add the drained olives to the mixing bowl.
  5. Mix 10 sec/reverse/speed 2 to coat them without breaking them.
  6. Transfer everything to an airtight container.
  7. Let marinate in the fridge for at least 24 hours, stirring from time to time.
  8. Serve at room temperature as an appetizer.

Tips

  • The longer they marinate, the more flavor they will take on.
  • You can add chili pepper for a spicy touch.
  • Use good quality olives, pitted or with pit to taste.
