Ingredients

  • 300 g of purple corn
  • 2 liters of water
  • 1 pineapple peel
  • 1 apple in pieces
  • 1 cinnamon stick and 4 cloves
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 3 limes (juice)
  • 1 apple in small cubes to serve

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Place the purple corn, the water, the pineapple peel, the apple, the cinnamon and the cloves in the mixing bowl.
  2. Cook 30 min/100°C/speed 1 to extract the color and the flavor.
  3. Strain the purple liquid into a jug and discard the solids.
  4. Return the liquid to the mixing bowl, add the sugar and mix 2 min/70°C/speed 2 until dissolved.
  5. Let it cool completely.
  6. Add the lime juice and mix 20 sec/speed 2.
  7. Serve very cold with apple cubes and ice.

Tips

  • Add the lime only at the end so it does not turn bitter.
  • Adjust the sugar according to how acidic the fruit is.
  • Serve very cold, it is ideal to accompany creole meals.
