Ingredients

1 litre of whole milk
350 g of sugar
1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

Step-by-step

Using a different robot? Switch it here:

Put the milk, the sugar and the bicarbonate in the mixing bowl and mix 10 sec/speed 3.
Program 50 min/100°C/reverse/speed 1 without the measuring cup and with the basket on top.
Check the colour and leave it longer if you want it darker.
Add the vanilla and mix 20 sec/speed 3.
Blend 30 sec/speed 5 for a completely smooth texture.
Pour into a jar and let it cool.
Refrigerate and it will thicken even more as it cools.
