Dulce de leche
Homemade Argentine dulce de leche with a smooth and creamy texture.

Ingredients
- 1 litre of whole milk
- 350 g of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Put the milk, the sugar and the bicarbonate in the mixing bowl and mix 10 sec/speed 3.
- Program 50 min/100°C/reverse/speed 1 without the measuring cup and with the basket on top.
- Check the colour and leave it longer if you want it darker.
- Add the vanilla and mix 20 sec/speed 3.
- Blend 30 sec/speed 5 for a completely smooth texture.
- Pour into a jar and let it cool.
- Refrigerate and it will thicken even more as it cools.
Tips
- The bicarbonate helps to achieve the caramel colour.
- Place the basket to avoid splashes.
