Ingredients
- 600 g flour
- 15 g dry yeast
- 120 g sugar
- 100 g shortening or butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon anise seeds
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 250 ml warm water
- Orange zest
Step-by-step

- Put the warm water, yeast and a tablespoon of sugar in the mixing bowl. Set 3 min/37°C/speed 2 to activate.
- Add the flour, the rest of the sugar, the eggs, shortening, anise, salt and zest. Set 5 min/closed lid/dough mode.
- Remove the dough, shape into a ball and let rise covered 1 hour until doubled.
- Shape into a large, flat disc, place on a baking sheet and let rise 40 more min.
- Bake at 180°C for 30 min until golden and it sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Let cool on a rack before cutting.

- It's traditionally served with cheese or hot mate.
