Ingredients

  • 500 g strong flour
  • 200 ml warm milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 80 g sugar
  • 70 g soft butter
  • 25 g fresh yeast
  • 8 g salt
  • 1 beaten egg for brushing

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the milk, yeast and sugar in the mixing bowl and mix 1 min/37°C/speed 2.
  2. Add the eggs, flour and salt and knead 3 min/closed mixing bowl/dough mode.
  3. Stir in the butter and knead again 4 min/closed mixing bowl/dough mode.
  4. Let the dough rise covered 60 minutes until doubled in volume.
  5. Shape buns, place them on the tray and let them rise 30 more minutes.
  6. Brush with beaten egg and bake at 180°C for 18 minutes.
  7. Let them cool on a rack before serving.

Tips

  • Add the butter in several batches for a better texture.
  • Brushing with egg gives a glossy golden finish.
