Greek tzatziki
Fresh sauce of yogurt, cucumber, garlic and dill, ideal for dipping.

Ingredients
- 400 g Greek yogurt
- 1 cucumber
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Grate the cucumber, salt it and let it drain for 10 minutes to release water.
- Put the garlic in the mixing bowl and blend 5 sec/speed 7.
- Add the Greek yogurt, the oil, the lemon juice and the salt.
- Mix 15 sec/speed 3 until combined.
- Squeeze the grated cucumber well with your hands to remove the excess water.
- Add the cucumber and the dill to the mixing bowl.
- Mix 10 sec/reverse/speed 2 so as not to blend the cucumber.
- Chill in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.
Tips
- Draining the cucumber well stops the tzatziki becoming watery.
- Serve with pita bread, vegetables or grilled meats.
- Use authentic Greek yogurt for a creamier texture.
