Champurrado
Hot drink of corn masa and chocolate, thick and comforting.

Ingredients
- 60 g of nixtamalized corn flour (masa harina)
- 90 g of table chocolate (tablet)
- 700 g of milk
- 300 g of water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 60 g of piloncillo or brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Put the water and the corn flour in the mixing bowl. Mix 30 sec/speed 5 to dissolve without lumps.
- Add the milk, the cinnamon and the piloncillo.
- Program 10 min/90°C/speed 3.
- Add the diced table chocolate and the vanilla.
- Program 8 min/90°C/speed 3 until the chocolate melts and the drink thickens.
- Remove the cinnamon stick and mix 20 sec/speed 4 for a smooth texture.
- Serve very hot.
Tips
- Keep the speed medium to avoid lumps in the masa.
- If you prefer it lighter, reduce the corn flour to 40 g.
