Caribbean Coconut Flan
Creamy coconut flan with caramel, a classic Caribbean dessert.

Ingredients
- 150 g sugar for the caramel
- 4 eggs
- 1 can of condensed milk (400 g)
- 1 can of evaporated milk (370 g)
- 200 g cream of coconut
- 50 g grated coconut
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Prepare the caramel in a flan mold by melting the sugar over heat until golden and cover the bottom of the mold. Set aside.
- Put in the mixing bowl the eggs, the condensed milk, the evaporated milk, the cream of coconut, the grated coconut and the vanilla.
- Mix 30 sec/speed 5 until all the ingredients are combined.
- Pour the mixture over the caramel in the flan mold and cover with aluminum foil.
- Without washing the mixing bowl, put 1 liter of water and place the flan mold in the Varoma dish.
- Set 50 min/Varoma/speed 1 to steam-cook the flan; check with a toothpick that it comes out clean.
- Let it cool, refrigerate at least 4 hours and unmold carefully before serving.
Tips
- Refrigerating it several hours makes unmolding easier.
- Decorate with toasted coconut on top.
- If you prefer the oven, cook in a water bath at 160°C for 50 minutes.
