Ingredients

  • 120 g of butter at room temperature
  • 100 g of brown sugar
  • 80 g of white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 230 g of flour
  • Half a teaspoon of baking soda
  • 150 g of chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Add the butter and the two sugars and beat 1 min/speed 4.
  2. Add the egg and the vanilla and mix 30 sec/speed 4.
  3. Add the flour, the baking soda and the salt and mix 20 sec/speed 3.
  4. Add the chocolate chips and fold in 10 sec/speed 2 reverse.
  5. Refrigerate the dough 30 min so they do not spread too much.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  7. Form balls and flatten them slightly on the tray leaving space.
  8. Bake 12 min at 180C until the edges are golden.
  9. Let them rest 5 min on the tray before moving to the rack.

Tips

  • Take the cookies out when the center looks underdone.
  • Brown sugar adds moisture.
  • Add a little flaky salt before baking.
