Rice Horchata
Creamy drink of rice and cinnamon, sweet and comforting.

Ingredients
- 200 g of white rice
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 100 g of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 1000 g of water
- Ice and ground cinnamon to serve
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Put the rice and the cinnamon in the mixing bowl. Pulverize 30 sec/speed 10.
- Add 500 g of water and let the mixture rest for 1 hour so the rice softens.
- Blend 1 min/speed 10 until you get a milky liquid.
- Strain with a bag or fine strainer and return the liquid to the clean mixing bowl.
- Add the remaining 500 g of water, the sugar and the vanilla.
- Mix 1 min/speed 4 until the sugar dissolves.
- Serve with ice and ground cinnamon sprinkled on top.
Tips
- For a creamier horchata, add a little milk or plant-based milk.
- Strain twice if you want it very smooth.
