Milanesa Napolitana with Sauce

Crispy breaded cutlet topped with tomato sauce, ham and mozzarella.

Ingredients

  • 4 thin top-round steaks
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • 300 g of breadcrumbs
  • 400 g of crushed tomato
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 4 slices of cooked ham
  • 200 g of mozzarella
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt, pepper and oregano to taste

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Place the garlic and parsley in the mixing bowl and chop 4 sec/speed 7. Mix with the beaten eggs, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Coat the steaks in the egg mixture and then in the breadcrumbs, pressing well. Set aside.
  3. For the sauce, chop the onion 4 sec/speed 5 and saute with a drizzle of oil 6 min/Varoma/spoon speed.
  4. Add the crushed tomato, the sugar, salt and oregano. Cook 15 min/100 degC/speed 1.
  5. Fry the cutlets in hot oil until golden on both sides and drain on paper.
  6. Place the cutlets in a dish, cover with sauce, a slice of ham and mozzarella.
  7. Gratin in a hot oven 8 min until the mozzarella melts.
  8. Serve with french fries or mashed potatoes.

Tips

  • For more crunch, coat the cutlet twice in egg and breadcrumbs.
  • Add a little grated cheese to the breadcrumbs for more flavor.
  • The sauce can carry a touch of crushed chili if you like it spicy.
