Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 300 g crushed tomato
  • 1 large potato, diced
  • 40 g raisins
  • 60 g green olives
  • 50 g olive oil
  • 60 g dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the onion, the pepper and the garlic in the mixing bowl and chop 4 sec/speed 5. Scrape down with the spatula.
  2. Add the oil and saute 7 min/120°C/spoon speed.
  3. Add the ground beef and saute 5 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed to sear it.
  4. Add the crushed tomato, the cumin and the oregano and cook 5 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed.
  5. Add the wine, the raisins, the olives and the diced potato. Set 18 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed.
  6. Check that the potato is tender; if needed cook 3 min more/100°C/reverse/spoon speed.
  7. Adjust salt and pepper and serve with white rice and sweet plantains.

Tips

  • The sweet contrast of the raisins with the olives is the key to the dish.
  • You can use it as a filling for empanadas or stuffed potatoes.
  • Serve with white rice and black beans.
