Ingredients

  • 500 g of ground beef
  • 300 g of ripe tomato
  • 1/2 white onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 potato in small cubes
  • 1 carrot in small cubes
  • 100 g of peas
  • 30 g of oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Pepper to taste

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the tomato, the onion and the garlic in the mixing bowl. Blend 20 sec/speed 6 and set aside.
  2. Without washing the mixing bowl, add the oil and the ground beef. Saute 8 min/120°C/reverse/spoon speed.
  3. Add the blended tomato, the cumin, the salt and the pepper.
  4. Add the potato, the carrot and the peas.
  5. Program 18 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed, adding 100 g of water if it dries out.
  6. Check that the vegetables are tender and adjust the salt.
  7. Serve with red rice or in tacos.

Tips

  • Cut the vegetables to the same size for even cooking.
  • A pinch of cinnamon or raisins gives it the sweet touch typical of some regions.
