Sweet and sour chicken

Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken breast, diced
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 150 g pineapple chunks
  • 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Stir-fry the chicken with the oil 6 min/120°C/reverse/spoon speed and set aside.
  2. Put the peppers in pieces in the mixing bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 4.
  3. Saute 4 min/120°C/spoon speed.
  4. Dissolve the cornflour in the water and add it with tomato, vinegar, soy and sugar.
  5. Set 8 min/100°C/speed 2 until it thickens.
  6. Add the chicken and pineapple and cook 4 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed.
  7. Check the sweet and sour balance and serve with white rice.

Tips

  • Use fresh pineapple for a fresher flavour.
  • Coat the chicken in cornflour beforehand for a crunchy texture.
