Sweet and sour chicken
Pieces of chicken in a glossy Chinese sauce of pineapple and pepper.
Ingredients
- 500 g chicken breast, diced
- 1 red pepper
- 1 green pepper
- 150 g pineapple chunks
- 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
- 200 ml water
- 2 tablespoons oil
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Stir-fry the chicken with the oil 6 min/120°C/reverse/spoon speed and set aside.
- Put the peppers in pieces in the mixing bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 4.
- Saute 4 min/120°C/spoon speed.
- Dissolve the cornflour in the water and add it with tomato, vinegar, soy and sugar.
- Set 8 min/100°C/speed 2 until it thickens.
- Add the chicken and pineapple and cook 4 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed.
- Check the sweet and sour balance and serve with white rice.
Tips
- Use fresh pineapple for a fresher flavour.
- Coat the chicken in cornflour beforehand for a crunchy texture.
