Venezuelan Quesillo

Ingredients

  • 5 whole eggs
  • 1 can of condensed milk (397 g)
  • 400 g of whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 150 g of sugar for the caramel
  • 30 g of water

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Prepare the caramel in a flan mold by melting the sugar with the water until golden and cover the bottom.
  2. Place the eggs, condensed milk, milk and vanilla in the mixing bowl.
  3. Mix 30 sec/speed 4 until well combined without over-beating.
  4. Pour the mixture into the caramelized mold and cover with aluminum foil.
  5. Put 800 g of water in the mixing bowl and place the mold in the Varoma container.
  6. Cook 50 min/Varoma/speed 1, checking that it sets when inserting a clean toothpick.
  7. Let it cool completely and refrigerate 4 hours before unmolding onto a plate.

Tips

  • The quesillo uses whole eggs, which gives it its typical little holes.
  • Do not beat too much to avoid excess foam.
  • Refrigerate it overnight for a perfect unmolding.
