Chinese sweet and sour sauce
Glossy pineapple, tomato and vinegar sauce with an oriental touch.

Ingredients
- 150 g of pineapple juice
- 60 g of ketchup
- 50 g of rice vinegar
- 50 g of sugar
- 20 g of gluten-free soy sauce
- 15 g of corn flour
- 100 g of water
- 1 teaspoon of grated ginger
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Put the ginger in the mixing bowl and chop 4 sec/speed 7.
- Add the pineapple juice, ketchup, vinegar, sugar and soy.
- Mix 10 sec/speed 4 to integrate.
- Dissolve the corn flour in the water and add it through the lid opening.
- Set 8 min/100°C/speed 2 until it thickens and becomes glossy.
- Check the texture and let it cool before saucing.
Tips
- Add pieces of pineapple and pepper for a chunky version.
- Use tamari instead of soy to make it gluten-free.
- Ideal with battered chicken or sauteed vegetables.
