Red sauce for tacos

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe tomatoes
  • 3 dried arbol chiles
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 bunch fresh coriander
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 100 ml water
  • Juice of 1/2 lime

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Toast the arbol chiles 2 min/Varoma/speed 1 and set aside.
  2. Put onion and garlic in the mixing bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 5.
  3. Saute with the oil 4 min/120°C/spoon speed.
  4. Add the quartered tomatoes and the chiles and cook 8 min/100°C/speed 1.
  5. Add the water and salt and blend 40 sec/speed 7.
  6. Add the coriander and lime juice and mix 10 sec/speed 4.
  7. Adjust the salt and let cool before serving.

Tips

  • Remove the chile seeds for less heat.
  • Serve cold over al pastor or carnitas tacos.
