Ingredients

  • 600 g of chicken breast
  • 500 g of ripe tomato
  • 1/2 white onion plus another half, julienned
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 to 3 chipotle chiles in adobo
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 30 g of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Tostadas, avocado and cream to serve

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the chicken in the mixing bowl with 600 g of water, half an onion, a garlic clove, bay leaf and salt. Program 20 min/100°C/speed 1.
  2. Remove the chicken, shred it with two forks and set aside. Empty the mixing bowl.
  3. Place tomato, the other garlic clove, the chipotles and half an onion. Blend 30 sec/speed 6.
  4. Add the oil and saute the julienned onion 5 min/120°C/spoon speed.
  5. Add the blended sauce and the oregano. Program 12 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed.
  6. Add the shredded chicken and mix 3 min/90°C/reverse/spoon speed.
  7. Adjust the salt and serve over tostadas with avocado and cream.

Tips

  • Adjust the chipotles according to the desired spiciness.
  • It is also delicious in tacos or as an empanada filling.
