Ingredients
- 700 g beef (chuck or round), in cubes
- 2 onions, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 3 large potatoes, diced
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 2 bay leaves
- 600 ml beef broth
- 3 tablespoons oil
- Salt, pepper and parsley

- Sear the beef in a hot pan until browned and set aside.
- Put the garlic and onion in the mixing bowl, chop 4 sec/speed 5 and sauté with the oil 7 min/120°C/spoon speed.
- Add the paprika and cumin and sauté 1 min/100°C/spoon speed. Add the wine and reduce 5 min/100°C/speed 1 with no measuring cup.
- Add the seared beef, carrots, bay leaves and broth and set 35 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed.
- Add the potatoes, salt and pepper and set 20 min/100°C/reverse/spoon speed until everything is tender.
- Sprinkle with parsley and serve with white rice.
Tips
- Searing the meat separately keeps the cubes whole and gives better color.
- If the sauce is too thin, remove the measuring cup and reduce 5 min/Varoma/speed 1.
