Ingredients

  • 800 g plums, pitted
  • 350 g sugar
  • The juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Put the plums in the mixing bowl and chop 4 sec/speed 4.
  2. Add the sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon, mix 5 sec/speed 3.
  3. Place the basket on the lid to prevent splashes.
  4. Set 30 min/100C/speed 2 without the measuring cup to evaporate.
  5. Blend 20 sec/speed 5 for a smooth texture.
  6. Check the setting point with a drop on a cold plate.
  7. Pack hot into sterilized jars and seal under vacuum upside down.

Tips

  • In Hungary it is used to fill traditional sweets.
  • Store in a cool, dark place for up to 1 year.
  • Cinnamon goes very well with plum.
