Ingredients
- 2 kg bone-in pork leg
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 onion
- Salt and pepper
- Water
Step-by-step

- Put the garlic in the mixing bowl and chop 3 sec, speed 5.
- Add the cumin, oregano, salt and pepper and mix 5 sec, speed 3 to form the marinade.
- Rub the pork leg with the marinade and let rest at least 1 hour.
- Put the pork leg in a large pot with the onion, bay leaves and water halfway up.
- Cook covered over low heat 2 and a half hours until the meat falls off the bone.
- Transfer a little of the broth to the mixing bowl and reduce 10 min, 100°C, speed 1 to make a sauce.
- Serve with boiled potatoes and sauerkraut or salad.
Tips
- Traditionally served for New Year's.
- You can brown the piece in the oven at the end for a rich crust.
