Ingredients
- 350 g wheat flour
- 80 g cold butter in cubes
- 50 g sugar
- 150 ml milk
- 1 egg
- 1 sachet baking powder (16 g)
- 1 pinch of salt
Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Put the flour, baking powder, salt and cold butter in the mixing bowl.
- Mix 10 sec/speed 5 until you get a crumb texture.
- Add the sugar, milk and egg and mix 15 sec/speed 4.
- Turn out the dough, roll to 2 cm and cut circles with a cutter.
- Place the scones on a tray with baking paper and brush with milk.
- Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes until golden.
- Serve warm with jam and whipped cream.
Tips
- Do not work the dough much so they stay tender.
- Very cold butter gives flakier scones.
