Step-by-step
Choose your robot:
- Place the flour, salt, baking powder and lard in the mixing bowl and mix 20 sec/speed 4.
- Add the warm water and knead 2 min/closed mixing bowl/dough mode until a smooth dough.
- Let the dough rest covered for 20 minutes and divide into 8 balls.
- Roll out each ball with a rolling pin into thin discs and cook on a hot griddle 1 min per side.
- For the beans, put them in the mixing bowl with a little oil and heat 4 min/90C/spoon speed until creamy.
- Spread each tortilla with beans, add cream and grated cheese.
- Fold the tortilla in half and serve immediately, nice and hot.
Tips
- The dough must rest so it is easy to roll out thin.
- You can add scrambled egg or avocado for a complete baleada.
- Serve the tortillas freshly made so they stay flexible.
