Homemade Belgian waffles

Ingredients

  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 ml milk
  • 80 g melted butter
  • 40 g sugar
  • 1 sachet baking powder (16 g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt

Step-by-step

Choose your robot:
  1. Separate the egg whites and set them aside in a bowl.
  2. Put the yolks, milk, butter, sugar and vanilla in the mixing bowl and mix 20 sec/speed 4.
  3. Add the flour, baking powder and salt and mix 20 sec/speed 4.
  4. Place the butterfly, add the egg whites and whip to stiff peaks 3 min/speed 3.5.
  5. Fold the egg whites into the batter with gentle movements.
  6. Pour the batter into the hot waffle iron and cook until golden.
  7. Serve with icing sugar, cream or fruit.

Tips

  • Wash the mixing bowl well before whipping the egg whites.
  • Do not open the waffle iron too soon so they do not break.
